Office Start Up/Renovation Program
The purpose of this program is to increase access for Yukon patients to office-based practice by providing reimbursement of eligible expenses to new or existing General Practitioners or Specialists who start up a new office-based practice in the Yukon and financial assistance to existing Yukon General Practitioners or Specialists who undertake office renovations to accommodate newly recruited physicians in their office space.
Under Office Start Up a maximum of $10,000 will be available per physician based on reimbursement of eligible expenses. Funds are disbursed on a “first come, first served” basis and physicians must have active or provisional staff privileges at a hospital under the jurisdiction of Yukon Hospital Corporation.
A two year return in service agreement is required.
Under the Office Renovation component a maximum of $15,000 per new physician accommodate will be made available to existing physician practices based on reimbursement of eligible expenses. New physicians must have active or provisional staff privileges at a hospital under the jurisdictions of Yukon Hospital Corporation.
Physician applicants must commit to using the renovated space for physician practice for a minimum of three years.
